About Us

Our History

The Oberle family homestead farm was established in the 1950’s by Eddie Oberle. For decades, the family lived and farmed within the Breton, Alberta community. Operated by Eddie’s son, Lynn, the tradition of farming and ranching continue at Breton Beef. Motivated by the current climate of food insecurity, Lynn’s son, Matt has refined his focus to deal direct with the consumer to offer the opportunity to purchase great tasting, home-grown, grassfed beef.

Our Community

Caring about others and our environment is the foundation of the Breton Beef business model. By creating 1/4 Beef Freezer Packs our beef is stocking local freezers, so as a customer you will be more protected from potential food shortages, supporting local farmers while at the same time reducing your carbon footprint. Additionally, we work with local non-profit organizations and donate 10% of our sales to them.

Our Land

Breton Beef’s farm to table approach not only helps fill local freezers for families and raise charitable funds, but their sustainable, as-organic-as-possible farming practices minimizing their overall carbon footprint. This ensures the beautiful land the Oberle Family has called home for decades is preserved and maintained for future generations.
